Lee Byung-chul ialah pengasas Samsung Groups yang lahir pada 12 Febuari 1920. Beliau adalah anak kepada sebuah keluarga bangsawan dan menghadiri kolej di Universiti Waseda di Tokyo, tetapi tidak menamatkan pengajiannya.
